Marcus-Carsten Pötz has taken over the position of Director International Sales at Oest Lubricants as part of a retirement-related succession plan.
Marcus-Carsten Pötz has more than 35 years of experience in the lubricants industry. He was a board member of the German Lubricants Industry Association (VSI) and played a key role in the merger of the two associations Uniti and VSI. After holding various management positions at Total, Castrol Industrie and BP Europa SE, Marcus-Carsten Pötz was most recently Commercial Director Metalworking Central Europe at Quaker Houghton. In his new position at Oest Lubricants, he will expand the growing international business and further develop the company’s international sales structures.
The Oest Group, headquartered in Freudenstadt in the Black Forest, is active in various sectors and generates a turnover in the three-digit million range. The company has its roots in 1915, when Georg Oest founded a company for the development and production of lubricants. To this day, Oest’s core competencies include customized lubricants for industry, metalworking and the automotive sector.
