Increasing and new demands on surface quality are increasingly focusing companies’ attention on knowledge and solutions for deburring and the production of precision surfaces. This was confirmed not only by the good turnout, but also by enthusiastic participants at the 11th specialist conference on deburring technologies and precision surfaces at the end of April 2023.

When it comes to solutions for deburring and the production of precision surfaces, the specialist conference of the private knife and congress organizer FairXperts has been regarded for years as the information platform in the German-speaking world. A total of 81 people took advantage of the 26. and 27. April the opportunity to learn about current and innovative solutions as well as best practice applications for the production steps deburring and surface finishing. Not only the overall evaluation of the symposium with a grade of 1.6 shows that the program fully met the expectations of the auditorium, but also comments such as “Interesting topics, good speakers, the exchange and discussions during the breaks were also super” or “An all-round very good, informative event with good organization and a pleasant atmosphere”.
A lot of know-how for process design and optimization
In a total of 17 presentations, the experts from industry, science and research offered extensive knowledge on new developments, trends and benchmark solutions. In addition to deburring and producing precision surfaces with a wide variety of systems and tools, the focus was on the use of robots in surface processing, the process-reliable cleaning of surfaces, and automated quality control.
The question-and-answer sessions that followed each presentation, as well as the direct dialog with speakers and exhibitors during the breaks, enabled participants to explore topics in greater depth and discuss individual tasks. This also resulted in interesting discussions and contacts for the exhibiting companies.

A comprehensive presentation of technologies for deburring and the production of precision surfaces is offered by FairXperts with Deburringexpo. The range of solutions at the leading trade show covers the entire spectrum of methods, processes, tools and services for deburring and surface finishing across all industries and materials. This gives visitors a complete overview of the current state of the art, innovative developments and trends in these areas.
The supporting program with the theme parks “Automated Deburring”, “Cleaning after Deburring” and “Quality Assurance in the Deburring Process” addresses three areas that specifically contribute to meeting current and future requirements for the surface quality of components.
Integrated into DeburringExpo is a three-day, bilingual technical forum with renowned speakers from industry, research and science. In the center of the simultaneous (German <> English), the presentations focus on solutions for specific use cases as well as current developments and trends and future strategies. The fifth edition of DeburringExpo will be held Oct. 10-12, 2023, at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center.
