Global demand for heat exchangers for heat pumps and refrigeration systems is rising rapidly. For AP&T, this means increased demand for turnkey production facilities for the manufacture of heat exchanger plates. This equipment includes AP&T’s servo-hydraulic press, which consumes up to 70 percent less energy than conventional hydraulic presses.<\/h3>\n

“The low energy consumption of our servo-hydraulic press makes it a highly attractive option for heat exchanger plate manufacturers, not only financially but also environmentally,” promises Mikael Karlsson, AP&T’s press product manager.
\nThe servo-hydraulic press not only has low energy consumption, but is also much quieter. It also requires only one-tenth of the hydraulic oil that a conventional hydraulic press consumes.<\/p>\n

AP&T’s turnkey plants also include all the necessary equipment components required for feeding, stacking, destacking, straightening, cutting and embossing, for example.<\/p>\n

Karlsson continues: “We supply a complete, fully automated solution with proven standard components that are designed to work together perfectly under all conditions. There is a lot of production in this segment and manufacturing often runs around the clock. This places high demands on operational reliability and machine availability.”<\/p>\n

Most of AP&T’s customers in this segment manufacture brazed heat exchanger plates. However, the company also supplies equipment for the production of large gasketed heat exchanger plates, which require a much higher pressing force.<\/p>\n
