For this reason alone, the acquisition of Thalmann Maschinenbau should be a success.<\/h3>\n<p>The Swedes and the Swiss have even more in common: they are considered to be hard-working, honest, reliable, steadfast, defensible, peaceable and prosperous &#8211; the latter, among other things, because they have not had a war in their country for the longest time of any country in Europe. And at least in German-speaking countries, they are directly behind each other in country lists.<\/p>\n<p>Cidan&#8217;s long success story began in 1907 in the Swedish municipality of G\u00f6tene, picturesquely situated between Europe&#8217;s third and sixth largest lakes &#8211; V\u00e4nern and V\u00e4ttern. 115 years later, Cidan Machinery Group is a leading global full-service provider of innovative sheet metal fabrication machinery and easy-to-use control solutions for industry and the sheet metal trade.<\/p>\n<p>With the recent acquisition of Thalmann Maschinenbau AG from Switzerland, another forward-looking milestone was set. Around 100 people are employed at the headquarters in G\u00f6tene: Over 60 in production, 12 in development and 15 in customer service. Today, in addition to Cidan, the two Austrian companies Forstner (decoiling systems) and NuIT (control solutions) as well as the renowned Swiss long folding machine manufacturer Thalmann belong to the globally active Cidan Machinery Group with its total of around 300 employees.<\/p>\n<h4>Customer benefits through synergy effects<\/h4>\n<p>The positive synergy effects of the mergers and the resulting customer benefits and advantages are obvious for the Cidan Machinery Group: The combination of experience, know-how and innovative strength create additional opportunities and capacities for the new and further development of pioneering machine and control solutions.
