Another advantage is that BrightLine Speed reduces cutting gas consumption per component by around half compared to conventional laser cutting. In addition, the cutting process can be 15 percent more productive with the same laser power, which is why correspondingly less energy is required per component. &#8220;Our new cutting technology results in noticeable leaps in productivity and cost savings for our customers through more speed and less gas consumption,&#8221; says Kohll\u00f6ffel.<\/p>\n<h4>Two fibers in one cable<\/h4>\n<p>The central component of BrightLine Speed is a Trumpf-patented 2in1 laser light cable (LLK) with an inner and an outer fiber core. A TruDisk disk laser couples laser light into the LLK and distributes the laser power to the inner and outer cores using a so-called wedge switch.
