At Euroblech 2026, the BLM Group unveiled the LT-Free 3015, a new 3D laser cutting system designed for machining large-format metal components. A working area of up to 3,000 \u00d7 1,500 mm and a Z-axis travel of 750 mm enable the processing of various workpiece geometries.<\/h3>\n

Particularly for three-dimensional cutting tasks, the available height often limits the size and positioning of the workpieces. In addition to the component dimensions, supports, clamping devices, and mounts must also be taken into account. The increased Z-axis travel provides more flexibility for machining tall and geometrically complex components. It is also possible to arrange multiple workpieces in parallel within the working area. Furthermore, components can be positioned at an angle.<\/p>\n

Laser cutting machine designed for high production speeds<\/h4>\n

During the development of the LT-Free 3015, another key focus was on the machine\u2019s dynamic characteristics. Despite the enlarged working area, the design is intended to enable high accelerations and precise motion sequences. According to the manufacturer, the machine structure achieves a natural frequency of approximately 30 Hz. The high rigidity forms the basis for dynamic axis movements and precise path guidance, even at high travel speeds. This is particularly relevant for high-volume applications.<\/p>\n

In addition to its dynamic performance and increased production capacity, the manufacturer cites compatibility with existing production environments as another development goal. This makes the system suitable for projects in which existing laser cutting systems are to be replaced or manufacturing processes are to be further developed.<\/p>\n

The LT-Free 3015 comes equipped with Argo, software developed by the manufacturer. It supports the operation and programming of the laser cutting system. In addition, it is possible to integrate software from other vendors.<\/p>\n

Ready for special alloys in the aerospace industry<\/h4>\n

The manufacturer sees an additional field of application in the aerospace industry. This sector uses, among other things, special alloys and newly developed materials whose processing places high demands on dimensional accuracy and the thermal behavior of the material.<\/p>\n

In laser cutting, the size of the heat-affected zone, the quality of the cut edges, and the precise production of complex contours are particularly important. Five-axis machining allows the cutting head to be adapted to various spatial component geometries. With its expanded working area and greater Z-axis travel, the LT-Free 3015 is also designed to be used for large-format and geometrically complex components in this industry.<\/p>\n
