The outer skin, interior parts and battery housing of the BMW iX3 will be made of Bluemint steel in the future.<\/h3>\n<p>The material has a high proportion of recycled material and achieves CO\u2082 savings verified by T\u00dcV S\u00fcd compared to conventional steel. A mathematical allocation process ensures that CO\u2082 reductions from the production process can be attributed to the products. The BMW Group uses Bluemint recycled in series production without having to adapt processes.  <\/p>\n<p>The automotive industry almost exclusively uses primary steel for body shells. Bluemint recycled is a CO\u2082-reduced steel that meets the same requirements in terms of surface quality, formability and processing.
