innovation drivers for the sheet metal processing of tomorrow?&#8221; &#8211; this is the guiding theme of the 44th EFB Sheet Metal Working Colloquium. The European Research Association for Sheet Metal Working (EFB) is organizing this industry get-together on 15 and 16 April 2026 at the Congress Centrum W\u00fcrzburg.   <\/h3>\n<p>In terms of content, the programme ranges from low-CO\u2082 steel production and the consequences of &#8220;green&#8221; materials for processors to AI-supported process optimization in the press shop and digital twins for production and logistics. Other focal points include joining technology, machine intelligence, material and quality issues and new approaches to the circular economy, such as the direct forming of production scrap. <\/p>\n<p>Over two days, the colloquium will offer a total of 19 presentations in five sessions: The EFB Colloquium is all about fewer emissions, more intelligence in the process and more speed in implementation. On the first day of the event, the organizer will honour research projects with the presentation of the EFB Excellence Awards during the evening event, which itself offers space for networking.
