The collaboration will begin with deliveries of SSAB Zero. The quantities will increase over time, although the steel manufacturer has not provided any specific figures. Future deliveries will also include SSAB Fossil-free steel, which is produced using the Hybrit technology.   <\/p>\n<p>SSAB Zero is the first commercial, decarbonized steel. By using recycled steel and fossil-free energy, there are virtually no fossil carbon emissions. In 2021, SSAB produced the world&#8217;s first fossil-free steel using Hybrit technology as a proof of concept. This steelmaking process uses hydrogen-reduced sponge iron and replaces the main source of CO\u2082 emissions with water as a by-product instead of CO\u2082.
