The new plant utilizes Trumpf&#8217;s high-tech manufacturing equipment to produce sheet metal parts for Trumpf machines manufactured in the US. Customers can also visit the factory to get an idea of automation solutions, digital networking of machines and data-driven production. The total investment is around 40 million US dollars.   <\/p>\n<h4>Additional technology and demonstration options<\/h4>\n<p>Manufactured in Farmington, Trumpf&#8217;s state-of-the-art machine tools are used in the production of metal components for cars, airplanes, agricultural machinery and fitness equipment. \u201cThe future requires smarter, more connected and more competitive manufacturing. Now is the time for companies to improve their production methods and develop their workforce. We are helping companies across North America do just that by providing manufacturing technologies and services,\u201d promised Lutz Labisch, President and CEO of Trumpf in the US. Trumpf manufactures all of its laser cutting machines and connected automation solutions for the North American market in Farmington, where it recently commissioned a new production line for the manufacture of laser tube cutting machines. <\/p>\n<h4>New design for production<\/h4>\n<p>The building, designed by Berlin architects Barkow Leibinger, is modern and sustainable. The windows are fitted with special \u201csmart glass\u201d. They allow more or less insight into the building as required, offer UV protection and create a pleasant climate inside.
