It also ensures that no parts are tipped over or welded to the combs, and eliminates the need for micro- or nanojoints. Unlike traditional laser cutting systems, FlowIn cuts and manages waste by dividing it into small sections and disposing of it in designated containers &#8211; all in the same cycle. This optimized process not only speeds up production, but also reduces unnecessary handling, allowing the system to operate at maximum efficiency without interruption. &#8220;Although the concept may seem simple, we are using existing technologies in new ways,&#8221; adds Ejma. &#8220;We started with the solution and worked backwards. This reverse approach helped us to develop a unique perspective and a new concept.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h4>Sorting without compromising on efficiency<\/h4>\n<p>Existing sorting solutions often affect productivity in several ways. Sorting systems often cannot keep up with cutting speeds, have limitations on material thickness and shape, or require larger gaps between parts, which hinders efficient nesting patterns. This affects machine efficiency and material utilization. &#8220;With standard machines, adding sorting functions slows down the process. Sorting in itself does not create value; the laser needs to keep cutting to be profitable,&#8221; explains Ejma. &#8220;FlowIn cuts and separates parts from waste at the same time, without compromising speed or efficiency.&#8221; Eagle&#8217;s new system delivers waste-free parts ready for manual or automated sorting, regardless of shape or thickness, and fully supports material efficiency-driven nesting patterns. FlowIn handles up to 40 kW of laser power and features a coil-cutting version called FlowInCo.
