The new version is primarily intended for the progressive stamping process, which requires a large number of strokes per minute, and for other forming processes that require high precision, such as coining, punching and deep drawing.<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Using gear cylinder technology, we have developed a fast and very energy-efficient solution that also has a very low noise level,&#8221; promises Mikael Karlsson, Product Manager of Presses at AP&amp;T.<\/p>\n<p>When the first generation of AP&amp;T&#8217;s servo-hydraulic press was launched a few years ago, it received a lot of attention, not least because of its very low energy consumption during operation and its longer holding times, for example during press hardening. Now AP&amp;T is reworking this work of art &#8211; and more &#8211; for cold forming. For pressing operations with short and medium strokes, energy consumption can be 80 percent lower than with an equivalent conventional hydraulic press from AP&amp;T.<\/p>\n<p>AP&amp;T engineers designed the press with a closed, robust hydraulic system with low oil volume and few components. Thanks to the modular system, each press can be optimized for the use of one or more cylinders depending on the application.<\/p>\n<p>The new version of AP&amp;T&#8217;s servo-hydraulic press is suitable for heat exchanger and fuel cell plate stamping, transfer applications and progressive stamping, as well as most types of drawing operations.<br \/>\n&#8220;With today&#8217;s high energy prices, our new press can quickly lead to significant cost savings. Exactly how high the savings are, of course, depends on the application.
