Whether plasma, oxyfuel, laser or waterjet cutting, the systems have become increasingly precise, stable and safer to handle since the first walking tests. Despite all automated processes: Depending on the requirements, rework is not always avoidable. And this is where a new addition to the MicroStep Europe portfolio comes into play: the MSE Oxy. &#8220;With the versatile MSE Oxy machine, we now offer our customers and interested parties a compact solution that facilitates post-processing and provides a variety of machining options on one system,&#8221; emphasizes Johannes Ried, Managing Director of MicroStep Europa GmbH.<\/p>\n<h4>Diverse surface processing in a compact space<\/h4>\n<p>The MSE Oxy is equipped with high-quality brand-name components throughout, thus achieving high reliability and process safety. With the help of five tools moving in the carousel principle, the flat and pre-cut materials are processed easily, quickly and efficiently in a small space. &#8220;Every metalworking company is familiar with the often tedious reworking with angle grinders, hammers and other makeshift tools. However, mechanical systems available on the market often require more space than is available and exceed the technological requirements as well as the budget. The MSE Oxy is perfectly positioned for this: It finds a place in almost any workshop and is the optimal solution for anyone who needs to rework different workpieces in small batch sizes,&#8221; says Johannes Ried. Depending on the task at hand, tools are available that are precisely tailored to the task at hand:<br \/>\nSlag removal: During the cutting process, material buildup, known as slag, often occurs on the cut edges of the workpiece. This must be removed for optimum further processing of the component. Machine processing with the MSE Oxy saves time-consuming manual removal.<\/p>\n<p>Grinding and deburring: Especially with sheet metal parts cut to size with laser or plasma technology, burr formation cannot always be avoided. During the grinding process with the MSE Oxy, burrs and other irregularities are removed to obtain a clean grinding pattern.<br \/>\nEdge rounding: Edge rounding of the component with the MSE Oxy creates the conditions for subsequent process steps. It also minimizes the risk of injury from sharp edges.<\/p>\n<h4>The right tool for every application<\/h4>\n<p>A wide range of tools enables companies to achieve targeted part processing and, ultimately, the best possible results for every application &#8211; whether for slag removal, grinding or edge rounding. A fast and uncomplicated tool change ensures short changeover times between machining operations.
