Experts from Pilz will be answering questions about the EU Machinery Regulation at the regional trade fairs for industrial automation &#8220;all about automation&#8221; 2023 in Wetzlar (September 13 and 14), D\u00fcsseldorf (October 18 and 19) and Chemnitz (October 27 and 28). With its comprehensive Identification and Access Management, which clearly regulates access authorizations, Pilz is also presenting a module for more safety and industrial security on the machine.<\/h3>\n<p>On June 29, 2023, the &#8220;Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023\/1230&#8221; was published in the Official Journal of the European Union. Machine manufacturers and operators have 42 months to meet the new requirements for machinery and equipment. In the Talk Lounge at &#8220;all about automation&#8221;, Pilz experts will explain the fundamental changes to the type examination procedure, risk analysis and the assessment of a &#8220;significant change&#8221; that the EU Machinery Regulation brings. In an exchange with the experts, machine manufacturers and operators will receive helpful tips on how to bring their machines safely onto the market in future in accordance with EU law.<\/p>\n<h4>Key to comprehensive security<\/h4>\n<p>In order to protect machine or plant processes against manipulation or operating errors, comprehensive identification and access management is a solution that combines safety and industrial security. For example, the PITreader digital access authorization system with RFID technology can be used to protect applications from unauthorized access and entry. For this, only authorized users receive their individual authorizations on a compact RFID transponder with which they identify themselves directly at the safety gate. Pilz experts will be demonstrating to trade fair visitors how administrators can efficiently manage the use of multiple PITreaders and thus save time.<\/p>\n<h4>New: Authentication in the appropriate format<\/h4>\n<p>The highlight on the trade fair model: With the PITreader card unit access authorization system from Pilz, operators can also assign authorizations on the RFID transponder instead of the PITreader key transponder key in card or sticker format. The new transponder variants give operators more flexibility in managing access authorizations.
