In conjunction with a Renishaw probe, Verisurf CMM programming can perform a defined surface finish\/roughness assessment from 6.3 \u03bcm to 0.05 \u03bcm Ra, with the results being included in automatic quality reporting,&#8221; explains Kai G\u00e4rtling, Regional Sales Manager at Verisurf. &#8220;This is made possible by Verisurf support for the Renishaw Revo multi-sensor 5-axis measurement system. Surface finish measurement is fully integrated with Verisurf&#8217;s standard CMM inspection program and includes automatic probe change based on the inspection plan, eliminating CMM downtime and maximizing inspection throughput.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Renishaw probe works on a wide range of surfaces &#8211; including 2, 5 or 10 micron radius holes &#8211; and can output Ra, RMS and raw data for further analysis and reporting. In combination with Verisurf, the probe provides detailed and precise data. They can be verified against a nominal 3D CAD model and help users make informed decisions about component quality and acceptability.<\/p>\n<p>For the set goal of optimally connecting metrology and manufacturing, the new Verisurf 2024 software release includes nearly 100 new productivity workflows, powerful tools, enhanced features, and expanded sensor and device compatibility.
