A new, highly automated tandem press line, recently commissioned, is expected to more than double press production capacity, reduce energy consumption, lower noise levels and improve the complex forming of sheet metal parts. The order also includes integration of the system, operator training and support.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Bobcat is one of the first companies in North America to invest in the future by implementing this automated solution with our new press technology,&#8221; said Dr. Christian Koroschetz, AP&amp;T Group Chief Sales Officer. &#8220;This investment also underscores Bobcat&#8217;s interest in sustainable and energy-efficient manufacturing solutions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h4>Servo-hydraulic press increases energy efficiency<\/h4>\n<p>The new servo-hydraulic press is 70 percent more energy efficient than a conventional hydraulic press from AP&amp;T. It also offers higher productivity and better forming capabilities, enabling the pressing of more intricate and complex parts and shorter cycle times.<\/p>\n<p>Bobcat became aware of the new press technology through a collaboration with Wisconsin-based TCR Integrated Stamping Systems, a leading consultant and systems provider to the metalforming industry.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When I visited AP&amp;T in Sweden, I was introduced to the company&#8217;s latest breakthrough in automation technology, and I knew that this would represent a significant advance for Bobcat. In addition, AP&amp;T also demonstrated its new servo-hydraulic technology.
